Annual Selichot Service at TBS 2024

September 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

An Evening of Spiritual Preparation.

Our annual “kick off” the High Holiday season. Selichot means “pardons” and is the name that our tradition gives to a set of poems, prayers and songs that help us prepare to return ourselves to God as well as return any part of ourselves that has gotten “off course” this past year.
Additionally, we will have a writing exercise where we will list our positive midot, (attributes) that we wish to hold on to in 5785 and another list of our negative midot which we will literally will “wash away” using water soluble makers, acetate paper and a basin of water. Lastly, we will sing many of the High Holiday melodies we have not sung since last year. RSVP to info@tbstemecula to receive pdf of the Selichot booklet.
