By submitting an event to the JTTV Community Event Calendar, organizers agree to the following:
JTTV reserves the right to refuse any submission at its sole discretion, without explanation.
JTTV may edit or remove submitted content to maintain quality and alignment with its mission.
Eligibility
Only approved organizers may upload events to the JTTV calendar.
This policy ensures consistency, quality, and alignment with JTTV’s mission. By limiting calendar uploads to approved organizers, JTTV can maintain trust and clarity, prevent confusion or duplication, uphold standards and relevance, and foster collaboration. It’s a way of preserving the calendar as a trusted, cohesive space; more like a curated tapestry than an open bulletin board. If someone’s interested in becoming an approved organizer, JTTV likely has a welcoming pathway for involvement. Interested organizations are encouraged to contact Jewish Together Temecula Valley (JTTV) to request access and begin submitting their events to the Community Event Calendar.
Events must be submitted no more than 12 months in advance.
This guideline helps JTTV keep its calendar fresh, relevant, and responsive to real community needs. Submitting events no more than 12 months in advance ensures timeliness, accuracy, engagement, and flexibility. In short, it’s a way of balancing structure with spontaneity. If someone’s dreaming up a longer-term event, there’s always room to start a conversation and build toward it — just not formally submit it yet.
Content Guidelines
Events should reflect JTTV’s values of inclusion, connection, and community engagement.
This guideline is at the heart of what makes JTTV more than just a calendar, it’s a reflection of a shared community spirit. When events are submitted, they should echo JTTV’s core values – inclusion, connection, and community engagement. Whether it’s a cultural celebration, volunteer opportunity, storytelling night, or interfaith dialogue, JTTV’s calendar aims to be a warm invitation into a vibrant, interconnected Jewish life in the Temecula Valley.
Religious services (e.g., Shabbat, Torah study, etc.) are not eligible for submission.
This guideline reflects JTTV’s commitment to fostering connection and inclusivity, emphasizing our role as a community-building platform rather than a traditional religious calendar. While religious services like Shabbat and Torah study hold deep significance within Jewish life, and often shape the spirit of our gatherings, JTTV highlights events that welcome broad participation. High Holidays, generic in nature, are exempt from this guideline. We invite submissions centered on cultural exploration, educational enrichment, celebrations, and social engagement.
Image Specifications
All uploads must include a JPG or PNG image sized 1080x1080px, and not to exceed 1MB.
This requirement helps keep JTTV’s event listings visually appealing, consistent, and accessible across platforms. Here’s why each part of the guideline matters: JPG or PNG Format: These are widely supported image types that display clearly on web and mobile devices. They’re easy to create and compatible with most design tools. 1080 x 1080px Size: A square image at this resolution fits perfectly with JTTV’s visual style: clean and uniform on social media, the website calendar, and promotional materials. Under 1MB File Size: Keeping images lightweight ensures fast loading, especially on mobile devices, and reduces strain on JTTV’s hosting infrastructure.
Submissions without a properly formatted image may be rejected.
JTTV aims to present all events in a clear and professional way. How can you help? A properly formatted image helps maintain a cohesive look across platforms. Images that are too large, too small, or in the wrong format may not display correctly on social media or web pages, making the event less accessible or visually appealing. Reviewing and resizing non-compliant images takes time and resources away from promoting the event. Streamlining submissions with correctly formatted images allows the team to work faster and smarter.
Responsibility and Liability
JTTV is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of user submissions.
This statement helps set clear expectations and boundaries for JTTV’s role in publishing community-submitted content. Here’s what it means: Accuracy: JTTV isn’t verifying every detail of submissions, so any errors, outdated info, or misstatements are the responsibility of the person submitting. Legality: Contributors must ensure their submissions follow copyright laws, privacy regulations, and other legal guidelines. JTTV does not take liability for content that violates these standards. Content Responsibility: Whether it’s a flyer, event description, or photo, JTTV provides the platform, but the submitter is accountable for what they post. Think of JTTV as a community bulletin board – it’s a space for sharing, but the pins belong to the people.
Organizers bear full responsibility for all submitted information and media.
JTTV provides the platform, but the content’s integrity is in the hands of the organizer. It’s a respectful way to keep the process collaborative while ensuring accountability. Accuracy & Relevance: Organizers must ensure that dates, times, names, and descriptions are correct, up-to-date, and appropriate for the intended audience. Legal & Ethical Standards: It’s up to the submitter to make sure media doesn’t violate copyright, privacy laws, or community guidelines. Permission & Ownership: If an image features individuals or copyrighted content, the organizer should have permission to use it publicly.
All required fields must be completed in full. Incomplete or inaccurate submissions may be declined.
